Golden Globe winner and the film’s star and producer, Zendaya will be joined by Golden Globe and SAG Award winner Josh O’Connor and BAFTA nominee Mike Faist at the star-studded Australian Premiere of their sexy, captivating new film Challengers. The film’s producer Rachel O’Connor will also join cast on the red-carpet at The State Theatre in Sydney on Tuesday, March 26.
Directed by Oscar and BAFTA nominee Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name, I Am Love) Challengers stars powerhouse Zendaya as Tashi Duncan, a former tennis prodigy turned coach and a force of nature who makes no apologies for her game on and off the court. Married to a champion on a losing streak (Faist), Tashi’s strategy for her husband’s redemption takes a surprising turn when he must face off against the washed-up Patrick (O’Connor) – his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend. As their pasts and presents collide, and tensions run high, Tashi must ask herself, what will it cost to win.
