Golden Globe winner and the film’s star and producer, Zendaya joined by Golden Globe and SAG Award winner Josh O’Connor and BAFTA nominee Mike Faist walked the red carpet at the Australian Premiere of their sexy, captivating new film Challengers. The film’s producer Rachel O’Connor was also in attendance alongside Sydney’s most stylish celebs, influencers and glitterarti, the first audience in the world to see the film.
Directed by Oscar and BAFTA nominee Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name, I Am Love) Challengers stars powerhouse Zendaya as Tashi Duncan, a former tennis prodigy turned coach and a force of nature who makes no apologies for her game on and off the court. Married to a champion on a losing streak (Faist), Tashi’s strategy for her husband’s redemption takes a surprising turn when he must face off against the washed-up Patrick (O’Connor) – his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend. As their pasts and presents collide, and tensions run high, Tashi must ask herself, what will it cost to win.
