HBO has released two new first-look images for House of the Dragon Season 3.
One photo shows Rhaenyra contemplatively looking at the crown, while the other captures Daemon holding a sword in the midst of battle.
Season three will premiere in summer 2026. HBO has also confirmed that the show has been renewed for a fourth season, which will debut in 2028.
The season three returning cast includes Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. Additional returning cast includes Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham.
Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the series, set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones,” tells the story of House Targaryen.
The series depicts the Dance of the Dragons, a civil war that turned the Targaryen family against each other in a violent struggle for power that ultimately culminated in the extinction of dragons.
