Lady Gaga has shared a new image of herself as Harley Quinn from the upcoming Joker sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux. Gaga captioned a short message for the photo, simply writing: “That’s a wrap ❤️🔥 🎬🃏 X, Harleen.”
The film’s plot has been largely kept under wraps, though it’s billed as a drama with musical elements set in and around Arkham Asylum. The cast includes Zazie Beetz (returning from the first Joker film), Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland and Harry Lawtey.
The first Joker film in 2019 grossed more than $1 billion worldwide to become the highest-grossing R-rated release in box office history. The film also earned 11 Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, and won Phoenix the Best Actor award.
Joker: Folie à Deux is scheduled for release October 4, 2024.
